Ketamine Frequently Asked Questions
What is Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT)?
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy combines the clinical use of ketamine with psychotherapy to support mental health treatment, particularly for conditions like depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
Is ketamine legal for therapeutic use in the UK?
Yes. Ketamine is a licensed medication in the UK. When prescribed and administered by qualified clinicians, its use in therapy is both legal and regulated.
What conditions can be treated with Ketamine-Assisted Therapy?
KAT is commonly used for treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and chronic pain. It’s also being explored for addiction and existential distress.
What does a typical ketamine therapy session involve?
Sessions usually include preparation with a therapist, administration of ketamine in a controlled setting, and follow-up integration therapy to help process insights and emotions.
Is Ketamine-Assisted Therapy safe?
When administered by trained professionals in a clinical environment, KAT is considered safe. Screening is done to ensure medical suitability, and sessions are supervised throughout.
Will I hallucinate during a ketamine session?
Ketamine can induce altered states of consciousness, including visual or emotional experiences, but this is not the same as classical psychedelic hallucinations. The experience is guided and supported by your therapist.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies based on your condition and individual response. A typical course includes 4–6 sessions, alongside integration therapy.
Can I drive after a session?
No. You must arrange transport home after a session, as you will be temporarily impaired and should not operate vehicles or heavy machinery.

Breathwork Frequently Asked Questions
What is breathwork?
Breathwork refers to conscious breathing techniques used to regulate emotions, release tension, and support mental clarity and healing.
How does breathwork support mental health?
Breathwork activates the parasympathetic nervous system, helping reduce stress and anxiety, while promoting emotional release and inner awareness.
Is breathwork safe for everyone?
Breathwork is generally safe but may not be suitable for individuals with certain health conditions (e.g. cardiovascular issues, epilepsy). A screening is done beforehand to ensure safety.
What types of breathwork do you offer?
We offer guided sessions including holotropic-inspired breathwork, conscious connected breathing, and integrative breath techniques, led by trained facilitators.
What can I expect during a session?
You’ll be guided through specific breathing patterns, often accompanied by music. Sessions can bring up strong emotions, sensations, or memories and typically end with time for rest and integration.
Do I need prior experience to try breathwork?
Not at all. Our sessions are suitable for beginners and are fully guided by a trained practitioner.
